Baby

The body of a newly born child was found wrapped up in brown paper in the grounds of Aberdare Catholic School.

It was found by children who were returning home.

The school had been closed for a week and had just reopened.

The post mortem showed that the child's death was due to multiple head injuries and that it had died shortly after birth.

Following the discovery of the child the police carried out house-to-house investigations but the parents were never identified.
