Philip Salmon

Age: 41

Sex: male

Date: 16 Jun 2006

Place: The Army Golf Course, Shoe Lane, Farnborough

Philip Salmon was found dead on The Army Golf Course in Farnborough.

He had been burned.

He was found in undergrowth by a golfer looking for his ball.

It was thought that he had been set fire to with petrol.

Several people were arrested in connection with his murder but there are no known trials or convictions.

Philip Salmon had lived in Pine Court on Reading Road where he had lived alone. He had been missing for seven weeks before his body was found. He was last seen on 30 April 2006 around midday and he was reported missing shortly afterwards.

The police said that he had been depressed for a while and that he had been being looked after by his parents. However, the police said 'The circumstances surrounding the death of Philip Salmon are still not fully known. All the evidence suggests he did not set fire to himself and he did not commit suicide'.

The police said that it was not clear whether he had been murdered at the golf course or somewhere else and then dumped in the bushes.

His post-mortem didn't determine a cause of death. His body was significantly decomposed and he was identified by his dental records.

Philip Salmon was unemployed and was described as a bit of a loner.
