Patrick ONione was shot in the head as he left Callies Wine Bar in Bermondsy.
He was shot five times in what was called a gangland murder.
He was noted for having been acquitted of murder in 1979 after having been charged with a stabbing at a London hotel.
He was also reported to have been a financial 'godfather' behind organised crime.
A man wanted in connection with his murder later died in police custody in 1984.
