Rose Mylett was found strangled in Poplar in the early hours of Thursday 20 December 1888 and is sometimes listed among the Whitechapel murders.
She was discovered in Clarke’s Yard, off Poplar High Street by a patrolling constable came upon the body lying in a dark passage.
