Leon Adams, 26, was shot in the head late at night on Wornington Road in Notting Hill, London.
He was found around midnight.
A suspect in his murder was later shot dead in Trinidad, although other people were also thought to have been involved.
He had a tattoo on his neck with a floral design and the letters HNIC which stood for 'Head Nigger In Charge' just two weeks before he was shot.
When he was found he had been wearing a mink-trimmed vintage Wrangler denim jacket and a designer Aqua Master watch although he had only had 20p in his wallet.
