Darren Sherman

Age: 22

Sex: male

Date: 7 Mar 2003

Place: Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs

Darren Sherman, 22, was attacked in Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs, at around 11.40pm on 7 March 2003.

He died of multiple stab wounds shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Four men were initially charged over his murder but their cases were later dropped.

It was thought that he had got involved with a row between two black men.

The police later said that they were interested in speaking to a man that had been living in Mellish Street, Millwall at the time and who was said to have left the UK shortly after although it was also thought that he had later returned. He was described as being black, about 5ft 10ins tall and with a proportionate build and a short-shaved haircut. He was put on Scotland Yard's Most Wanted list in August 2003 after it was thought that he had returned to the country.

Darren Sherman was a carpet fitter.
