Luke Durbin disappeared in Ipswich on 12 May 2006.

He had been out for a night on the town on 11 May, 2006 and gone to the Zest nightclub with friends. He and a friend of his were seen on CCTV at around midnight approaching a taxi at Cardinal Park, Ipswich, then later, after he separated from his friends, at Ipswich railway station between 2.30am and 3am, the Hawk Express taxi rank at 3.45am, and then later at 4am on 12 May 2006 walking across a zebra crossing on the Dogs Head Street heading towards the bus station. It was thought that he didn't have enough money to get the taxi home.

After disappearing he failed to collect his wages from work, or any of his personal belongings, motorbike or mobile phone that he had left at a friend's house in Woodbridge.

He was reported missing the following afternoon on Saturday 13 May 2006.

Police also saw a Volvo 440 car in CCTV footage around that time on Orwell Place in Ipswich town centre but said that they had been unable to trace it.

There were also reports that Luke Durbin had been seen in a dark blue Renault Megane car in Woodbridge near the entrance to the Turban Centre car park on Quay Side with a black man that had been driving between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 13 May 2006.

The joint Norfolk and Suffolk major investigation team said that it believed that Luke Durbin had been unlawfully killed.

His mother thinks someone local is withholding information and knows what happened to him.

It was later heard that he had been involved in county lines drug dealing.

On the 11 May 2006 he had finished his work at a greengrocer's in Aldeburgh after which he had gone to do a drug deal in Woodbridge. He then went to meet his friendswho he had some drinks with in pubs and took some cocaine after which they went to the Zest nightclub.

Two men were arrested in connection with his murder in 2013 and held on bail but were later released.

On 21 February 2014 a human bone was found in a woodland off of the A1438 near Ufford and Woodbridge, nine miles from where he had lived in Suffolk. However, it is not known whether it was part of Luke Durbin's remains or whether it was confirmed to have been human after it was examined by anthropologists. DNA tests were also said to have been being carried out. The woodland was a place that Luke Durbin regularly visited.

Luke Durbin had lived in Hollesley, Suffolk with his mother. He was described as being white, 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build, short dark brown hair and blue eyes.

When he had disappeared, he had been wearing a black/grey long sleeved collared shirt and a purple and grey White Stuff sweatshirt as well as tatty looking faded denim jeans with some kind of motif on the side thigh area and grey chocolate brown suede moccasin style shoes.
