Abu Shahin was stabbed in Ramsgill Drive, Ilford at 12.20am on the morning of Wednesday 26 June 2007.
He was taken to King George Hospital but later died.
His post-mortem showed that he had died from stab wounds.
There were two suspects involved with his murder.
One man was arrested and charged with his murder but the case was later dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was from Manor Park in east London.
