Mahendran Selvaratnam died three months after he was attacked in an alleyway in Ealing Road, Wembley on 8 October 2007.
He was taken to Northwick Park Hospital where he later died.
He had suffered serious head injuries in the attack.
He was also known as Daniel Ratnampoull.
