Barathe Mehta was murdered in an attempted robbery at a sub-post office in Holloway, London on 6 June 1994.
He was found by a passer-by bleeding heavily at 6.30pm.
He was stabbed five times in the heart and neck whilst he fought off a robbery.
The police said that they were looking for three youths who were seen running away shortly before he was found. They were described as having been in their 20s and possibly Turkish or Asian. They were seen running off along Landon Park Road in Archway.
It was said that they had struck as he was counting his takings. However, the police said that they were unsure whether anything was taken.
