Mary Hancock died after being mugged.
She was mugged on 19 April 2001 at 2.40pm and had her handbag stolen. She suffered from a broken pelvis, cuts and bruises and died four weeks later on 18 May 2001.
She was thrown to the ground during the attack after a white saloon car, driven by a man, pulled up and a woman got out, pulled her handbag from her, and then got back into the car which then drove off.
After the mugging she was left lying on the pavement.
It was said that she had just £10 in her handbag.
