James Ward

Age: 27

Sex: male

Date: 21 Feb 1993

Place: Latimer Road, Shepherds Bush, London

James Ward was shot at a Shepherds Bush caravan site.

Three men were charged with his murder but acquitted. However, they were not said to have been the men that actually fired the shot that killed James Ward which was said to have been done by another man that had fled and who has never been found.

It was claimed that the three men had gone with the fourth man armed and with the intention of killing James Ward.

The men said that they had gone to the caravan site to get their pick-up truck but that they found it badly damaged and that James Ward then attacked one of them with a hatchet and knife, causing his intestines to spill from his body. The man that was injured said that the other man then chased James Ward and that James Ward then took out a gun and that in a struggle James Ward was accidentally shot.

The caravan site was beneath the A40.
