Keiron Bernard was shot in a Nandos Restaurant in Shepherds Bush, West London on 30 January 2002.

Keiron Bernard was shot twice, once in the thigh and once in the chest and suffered from enormous damage to his liver. The gunman shot him and then ran off but returned to shoot him at closer range as Keiron Bernard hit behind the counter. After the two shots that hit Keiron Bernard, the gunman fired another shot at Keiron Bernard which missed and hit a woman who was also hiding behind the counter in the arm.

After the shooting Keiron Bernard ran out of the takeaway and got into his black Honda Prelude car. He then drove off but crashed into a motorcyclist who was in fact his cousin and caused him serious injury and then crashed into the Winkworths estate agents shop front.

He had gone to the takeaway with friends.

A man was tried for his murder but acquitted. The man tried was himself murdered in 2003.

It was said that the man had shot Keiron Bernard after Keiron Bernard told the man to 'stop dissing him and show some respect'. Witnesses said that the man tried had made a comment about Keiron Bernard's Afro hairstyle.

The murder was recorded on CCTV. It was said to have taken place in a matter of seconds and the CCTV footage showed people in the takeaway ducking for cover.

Evidence showed that Keiron Bernard himself had a gun with him and at some stage had it in his hand, but he didn't fire it.

Keiron Bernard was also known as Keiron Bobb and was a disc jockey and record producer.
