Age: 36

Sex: male

Date: 20 May 2013

Place: Brammas Close, Chalvey, Slough, Berkshire

Kamran Maman was ambushed in Brammas Close in the early hours of 18 May 2013 by 20 black men, dragged from his car, and beaten to death.

He died two days later on 20 May 2013 from his injuries at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

His head had been kicked and stamped on.

Several men were tried for murder but found not guilty. They were also acquitted of carrying out violent disorder.

Twenty-six people were arrested during the investigation.

He had been travelling with a group of friends in his car at the time.

Kamran Maman had had an argument with three men at the Murco petrol station in High Street a few minutes before the attack. It was said that the other party then followed Kamran Maman's Ford Mondeo car back home to Brammas Close in their blue Renault Mégane. However, it was stated at the trial that enroute they made some calls and arranged for about 17 other people to get to Brammas Close in order to assault Kamran Maman and his friends.

When Kamran Maman got to Brammas Close the group of about 20 black men who were waiting for him started throwing glass bottles at his car, which was said to have been done to lure him out. It was said that Kamran Maman had attempted to drive off but that he was pulled out of the car from the passenger side. After he had been pulled out, his friends drove off.

It was said then, that after he was out of his car, he was attacked by at least two men who kicked and stamped on his head.

It was said that the whole thing took place in under two minutes.

One of the men that was said to have been involved in the murder had left his fingerprints on Kamran Maman's car.

Some of the people that were said to have attacked him were said to have left in a grey Ford Mondeo car, thought to have the registration number BL55 SXY.
