Date: 26 Dec 1999
Place: Handsworth Road, Birmingham
Corey Wayne Allen was shot outside a community centre in the middle of Handsworth Road.
At the time he had been armed with a shotgun which it was said his killers had wrenched from him and then shot him with it and another gun.
He was said to have been surrounded by people like a pack of wolves and that there had been dozens of witnesses.
It was said that the people that had murdered him were members of the Burger Bar Gangsters.
A man was tried for his murder but acquitted when the charges were dropped after witnesses that had given statements retracted them. One man said that he had been hit over the head a week earlier with a gun and was suffering from amnesia whilst another who entered the witness box refused to testify and was sentenced to five days for doing so.
It was also said that he had been shot by members of his own gang.
