Michael Codner

Michael Codner was punched in the street outside Georges Club, in Cazenove Road and died after hitting his head on the pavement.

A bouncer was tried for his manslaughter but acquitted at the direction of the judge after it was heard that the evidence was inconsistent, weak, of a tenuous character and too thin.

Michael Codner had been drunk at the time.

He suffered brain damage after fracturing his skull when he fell and hit his head on the pavement.

The bouncer was said to have punched him outside the club, but he denied it.
