Paul Cannon

Age: 43

Sex: male

Date: 17 Apr 1998

Place: Magnet Public House, 21 Station Road, Addlestone, Surrey

Paul Cannon was killed at a pub on 17 April 1998. There was a trial but the results are not known. The trial was halted on its fourth day due to legal reasons.

He was attacked in the men’s lavatory.

Paul Cannon had 40 cuts and bruises, mostly to his head and had been jumped on causing a fatal liver injury. His cause of death was given as haemorrhaging and laceration of the liver caused by stamping or jumping on his body.

He was found slumped between two cars outside the pub.

The attack had happened at the Magnet Public House at 21 Station Road in Addlestone, but the court heard that the landlady there had refused to call an ambulance because she was worried about losing her licence.

Paul Cannon had been a Glasgow Celtic fan and it was said that the man who had killed him had been a Rangers fan.

The Magnet public house later changed its name to the Station House but closed in 2007 and was demolished in 2010 and replaced with flats.
