Sika Michaels was shot outside his home in Dulwich at about 10.30pm on 15 March 2003.
It was thought that he had got into a row with two or three black men during which a struggle broke out and he was shot. The police said that they were looking for two black suspects.
He was taken to King’s College Hospital in an ambulance where he died a few hours later at 2.34am on 16 March 2003
He had been shot in the shoulder and his post-mortem confirmed that he had died from internal injuries caused by a bullet.
The police said that they thought that Sika Michaels had known the people that had shot him.
The police said that on the night he was shot he had been sitting in his red Ford Brava car with his car stereo on from around 8.30pm until the time he was shot.
