Andrew Charles Brown

Age: 27

Sex: male

Date: 8 Nov 2002

Place: Percy House, Pringle Gardens, Streatham, London

Andrew Brown was found stabbed to death in his home in Percy House, Pringle Gardens, Streatham on 8 November 2002.

He had been stabbed in the chest and neck.

A person was arrested but there are no known convictions.

He was found by his girlfriend who went to his flat with a locksmith after he didn't answer his mobile phone.

Andrew Brown ran Trade Scooters Direct, a motorcycle shop. He had moved into the one-bedroom flat two months earlier. He was originally from Norwich, but had moved to London about two years earlier.

He had left work between 6.15pm and 6.30pm in his red P-registered Vauxhall Vectra, and on his way back had visited someone briefly in Ribblesdale Road, Streatham, during which time his car was double-parked in the road with hazard lights on. However, the police said that his car was later seen outside his flat at around 6.50pm.

After friends and relatives failed to hear from him the following day, his girlfriend called a locksmith at 2.30pm to get into his flat, whereupon his body was found and the police were called.

At his inquest, the Coroner said, 'As a result of the examination it is clear the cause of death is not natural. The cause of death is given as stab wounds to the chest and neck'.

Andrew Brown was described as white.

The police appealed for anyone that had seen anything suspicious in the area on the evening of Thursday, 7 November or Friday, 8 November 2002 to come forward.
