Vasilijs Ransevs was found dead in his bedsit on Portland Street having suffered from head injuries.
The police found his body in the kitchen of the property at about 11.50am on 16 June 2013 after he was found dead by a friend.
He was last seen alive on 14 June 2013.
Four people were later arrested in connection with his murder, three men and a 17-year-old girl, after the police executed warrants at several addresses across Lincoln on 22 July 2013 and two other men were arrested a couple of days later on 24 July 2013. Five of them were rebailed on 28 April 2014 but no one was ever charged with his murder.
He was originally from Latvia and had been working in the United Kingdom in agriculture and on the land in things like processing work via employment agencies. He had been living in Lincoln for about two years where he had some friends, but not a wide circle of friends, and before that he had lived in Peterborough.
