Troy Robinson was shot in the chest in Harlesden late on the evening of 19 June 2005.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It is thought that the person that killed him is himself also dead after being shot in a barbers shop.
Two other people were shot a short while earlier in James Dudson Court, close by.
The gun used in all the shootings was said to have been a Second World War 1943 Colt 45 and it was said to have been the same gun that had been used to murder Ryan Bravo in Camberwell in August 2008.
