Bruno Hrela

Age: 33

Sex: male

Date: 5 Mar 2005

Place: Cedar Avenue, Enfield, North London

Bruno Hrela was shot in the head.

He was found lying in the street next to his silver Mercedes having been shot twice in the head.

It was thought to have been a contract killing.

A man was arrested two weeks after the murder but later discharged.

His father said that he thought that he had been murdered in relation to a £2million jewellery raid connected to the gang that later carried out the Hatton Garden robbery in April 2015.

His murder took place three months after a robbery at Giggy Jewellery in the City which was noted for being 150 feet from the Hatton Garden vault. It was also noted that the two robbery’s had been similar in that the robbers had had a front door key and had made a hole in the wall to access and disable the alarm and had carried out the robbery over two nights of a weekend.

Bruno Hrela's father said that after the murder that a man came to Bruno Hrela's safe business and asked for the jewellery. It was then arranged for the office to be bugged, but when the man returned, he refused to enter the office or say anything and Bruno Hrela's father said that he thought that he had been tipped off by the police and that he suspected collusion between the police and one of the robbers.

Bruno Hrela was also known as Tiger.

The police said that they suspected that Bruno Hrela had been involved in selling stolen goods.

It was noted that the man arrested two weeks after the murder was not related to the Hatton Garden robbery gang and added that there was nothing to suggest that the Hatton Garden robbery gang had been involved with Bruno Hrela's murder.
