Vera Cooper was found strangled in the kitchen of her bungalow on 24 January 2002.
It was thought that she was killed during a burglary. There was no sign of a forced entry and the back door was unlocked.
Her death wasn't considered suspicious at the time but after it was discovered that things were missing a second post-mortem was carried out and it was found that she had been strangled.
Hundreds of pounds were found to be missing from her home along with prescription drugs and it was found that an outside security camera had been removed.
