Brian Dunning was beaten to death at his home in Leeds.
He was thought to have been killed between 13 and 16 April 1994. He was found on the Saturday, but he had not been seen for a week.
He was found partially dressed in the bedroom of his end-terrace house in Trafford Avenue.
The police said that they thought that it was a burglary gone wrong. His house had been burgled and several valuable possessions had been stolen.
Brian Dunning had been a printer.
