Falwinder Singh Badesha was stabbed to death during a fight at his house in Holmhurst Road, Belvedere.

The main suspect, his house mate, was thought to have fled to Amritsar in India.

Falwinder Badesha was found with multiple stab wounds at 7.50pm on 21 September 2005 and declared dead at the scene. His cause of death was given as being a stab wound.

It was thought that he had been stabbed during a row with his house mate about keeping their home tidy. At the time there had been four men living in the house. They had been visiting the UK from India at the time and had been working at a factory.

The main suspect was described as being 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark hair and was last seen wearing brown shoes, dark trousers and a coloured checked shirt and possibly carrying a plastic bag. When he had left the house in Holmhurst Road on the day of the murder he was said to have had a cut on his forehead.

The police said that they knew that the man was at the house during the argument but they had not been able to find him since.

Two other men were convicted for attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to the murder.
