Marie Reynolds was found in a ditch on farmland a mile from her home.
She had gone missing in August 2002. Her body was found over a year later in January 2004.
At her inquest an open verdict was returned. The Coroner said that they could not be certain how Marie Reynolds died or how she had come to rest in the stream.
She was last seen by her nephew on 13 August 2002. In April 2003, police dug up some fields near the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal looking for her. Her body was later found submerged in a ditch by a landowner.
A man was arrested in connection with her death in August 2003 but released.
