Rudolph King was shot multiple times as he sat in his blue Vauxhall Corsa car outside a sports shop in Walm Lane near to Willesden Green Tube Station on Monday 10 November 1997.

He had been shot twice in the head.

Shortly before he was shot he had been approached in his car by two men, one black and the other light-skinned.

He was alleged to have been murdered by Marcus Charles who was alleged to have been murdered by Dean Roberts who was murdered by Ricky Sweeney who was convicted for Dean Roberts's murder in June 2001.

Two men were questioned over his murder on Tuesday 11 November 1997 and in February 1998 five men were arrested.

Rudolph King had lived in Tinteron Avenue and was described as a drugs baron and had at the time been wanted by the police in connection with another murder.

His murder was said to have been an execution style murder.

He had been shot multiple times and died soon after at Middlesex Central Hospital.

A passer-by was also injured in the ankle by a stray bullet.

The police said that that they were keeping an open mind over the motive.

Rudolph King was also known as Rudi King.
