A male child was found suffocated on Trafalger Road in Moseley under a gate.

The coroner returned a verdict of death by suffocation.

The death had happened within 24 hours of it being found and it was a very well developed child.

There was a mark of a cord across its face and head and its nose was depressed. There were also two border marks on its nose and cheek as though produced by two finger-marks.

The opinion that was that death was by suffocation.
