The body of a 10 day old child was found in a well.

A woman had gone to the well for water and saw something therein. She said she thought it was her cat and asked a man to pull it out and found that it was the body of a dead female child.

The coroner found that the child had breathed and was about 10 days old and had died from neglect and want of care at birth.
