A child was found wrapped up in a piece of hurden in the River Tame.
A foreman found the body floating in the River Tame near Fishers Mill.
The body was wrapped up in a piece of hurden tied at the four corners. The cloth was about a yard square.
The body was much decomposed and naked although there were no marks of violence on it.
The doctor said that the child was about 10 to 12 months old and was alive when immersed and that death was due to asphyxia.
