A child was found wrapped up in a piece of hurden in the River Tame.
A foreman found the body floating in the River Tame near Fishers Mill.
The body was wrapped up in a piece of hurden tied at the four corners. The cloth was about a yard square.
The body was much decomposed and naked although there were no marks of violence on it.
The doctor said that the child was about 10-12 months old and was alive when immersed and that death was due to asphyxia.
