The body of a new born male child was found wrapped in a parcel in a hedge in New Southgate.
A horsekeeper found the parcel while out for a walk. When he opened it he found the child dead with its throat cut.
The doctor said that death was due to shock and that the child had not lived for more than 12 hours.
