Margaret Quinn

Age: 36

Sex: female

Date: 12 Jun 2015

Place: Skye Road, Cathkin

Margaret Quinn was stabbed to death.

She had been stabbed in the back with the wound piercing her heart.

A man was tried for her murder, but the case was found not proven.

During the trial, Margaret Quinn's cousin attacked the man accused of murdering her. The cousin was the man that the man on trial was initially charged with attempting to murder at the flat in Skye Road where Margaret Quinn was murdered. As he entered the witness box the cousin put down his jacket and then ran from the witness box and jumped over the front of the dock and started to punch the man on the head as well as kick and stamp on his lower body. The man on trial had had two G4S officers on either side of him at the time but they had been unable to stop the cousin and it took a further four policemen to restrain him. The man on trial received a graze at the top of his head, a graze on the bridge of his nose and swelling to his forehead. The cousin was later jailed for three years and four months for the attack.
