Angela Millington

Age: 33

Sex: female

Date: 21 Jun 2014

Place: Foulness Island, Essex

Angela Millington was found washed up on Foulness Island on 21 June 2014.

She had been missing for four months. Her body was found by ramblers.

A man was arrested soon after her body was discovered. Another man, aged 67-year-old, was also arrested 18-months-later on suspicion of her murder. However, both men were later released without charge.

Although it was not known how she had died, her head was found to have had a gaffer tape mask on. It was noted that the mask was made from a strong adhesive tape. The police said that it was not clear whether the mask had been put on her before or after her death.

She was last seen in February 2014 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

She was a homeless person although she was known to sometimes live with her partner in Southend as well as in the streets in Southend.

The island that she was found on, Foulness Island, was used by the Ministry of Defence for weapons testing, but some parts of it were accessible to the public. As such, it was thought that due to the security of the island, that Angela Millington had entered the water from the seafront and that she had then been washed up by the tide.
