Ronald Charles Leonard Hawkins was killed at his home.
Ronald Hawkins was found dead in his pram when a doctor called at his mother's flat on Friday 28 June 1957 and his 23-year-old mother bound and gagged.
It was said that she later admitted strangling him.
When she was question, she was said to have said, 'I tried to stop, but I couldn't. I just went on pulling the cord tight'. She was later said to have said, 'It would never have happened if the other woman hadn't kept interfering and trying to separate us. I tried to stop, but I couldn't. I just went on pulling the cord tight'.
She was charged with causing his death to which she pleaded not guilty but the trial result is not known.
