Date: 27 Dec 1911
A female baby was found dead in a river.
A farmer had been walking along the bank of the river when he noticed the child’s body suspended by a branch about 6 inches above the water.
There had been a flood in the river about three days previously.
The child was naked and was between 1 to 3 months old and fully developed.
There were no marks of violence and the cause of death was given as suffocation due to drowning.
