Maude Susan Bondfield was found drowned.
She had gone out in her usual good spirits and no reason could be found for thinking that she had committed suicide.
She was a domestic servant and had been employed at a house in Chertsey Road, Redland.
She was last seen going out on the Sunday afternoon at 3.45pm.
Her hat was later found on the Monday on the river bank near Lovell's quarry on the Downs side and was said to have been quite dry inside and thought not to have been in the river.
Her body was later found by a ferryman at Rownham Ferry on the Thursday at 8am floating in the river.
