James Booth was found drowned in the River Derwent.
Am open verdict was returned.
He had been missing for a week after having been drinking at the White Bear pub on 12 March 1911 with a friend.
The friend, a tin plate worker, said that when he left James Booth he was perfectly sober. He said he left him at the corner of Exeter Street and he was not seen alive again.
His body was later found in the River Derwent near St Mary's Bridge.
He was not thought to have had any problems other than the illness of his wife.
He had lived at 44 Roman Road in Derby and had been a stove and grate fitter employed by Messrs Russell and Co.
