William Ewart Bamford

William Ewart Bamford was a broker’s agent and had gone out to Manchester on business.

He returned around 11.30pm in a taxi cab and was bleeding about the face and later said that he had been attacked.

He was taken to the Rochdale Infirmary the next day where he stayed for a while and was then taken home again.

However, he was later taken back to the infirmary where he died.
