Age: 34

Sex: female

Date: 20 May 2008

Place: River Lea, Bream Close, Tottenham

Stephanie Elaidi was found dead in the River Lea.

It was thought that she had died from a head injury.

She had been a sex worker and a drug addict.

She was found in the River Lea, near Bream Close in Tottenham on 20 May 2008 by a fisherman. She was partially-clothed.

When her body was pulled out of the river it was in a decomposed state and required DNA testing to identify.

Police said that they were treating her death as suspicious. She had a puncture-type wound to the back of her skull and the police said that they thought she had been murdered.

She was French and was thought to have come to the UK in 2000 when she had lived in Dunstable, in Bedfordshire, before moving to London.

She was the mother of a daughter who was thought to live in France and had a sister who lived in London. Police said that they were interested in speaking to anyone that knew her, including friends and family.

In 2011 it was said that the police were planning to speak to the convicted murderer Stephen Griffiths about her death.
