Woman

Age: unknown

Sex: female

Date: 3 May 1916

Place: Range Road, Whalley Range

The body of a woman was found in an out-house at an empty house on Range Road in Whalley Range.

She was very much decomposed and no marks of violence were found. However, her body was so decomposed that there was no good purpose to be served in carrying out a post-mortem examination.

She was fully dressed and was thought to have possibly died from exhaustion.

There was nothing on her to help identify her.

A tram ticket was found in her possession dated 7 o'clock, 7 January 1916 which had been issued at Alexandra Park.

An open verdict was returned there being no evidence to show how she had died.
