The body of an infant child was found in the River Exe at Quay, Exeter.

The detective inspector said that he thought the child had been brought to Exeter by train and dropped into the river below the ice works.
The doctor who examined it said he thought that the child was about six weeks old and had been dead before it was thrown into the water. He said that death was due to convulsions due to malnutrition.
