The body of a newly-born child was found on the railway line near Haughley in Ipswich.
It was discovered by a porter suffering from two wounds to the head but died almost immediately after.
The following evening on Friday 24 May 1901 some blood stained rags were found at Tinningham Station.
It was thought that the child had been born on the train between Ipswich and Norwich and thrown out of the window.
