Samuel Adelagun

Samuel Adelagun was shot in the chest in the early morning of 23 October 2010.

He was with a group of four youths aged 15 to 16 when they were shot at by two gunmen. The police said that they thought that the gunmen had opened fire from behind.

Another boy in the group had been shot in the abdomen.

They were shot at 3.20am in a park near to the junction of Upper Road and Chesterton Road in Plaistow.

The gunmen were said to have been wearing black and wearing balaclavas.

Neighbours had heard shouting from the park a short while earlier and then some minutes later shots fired.

After the attack the youths ran away and then called at a person's house nearby for help but Samuel Adelagun later died.

A month after his murder four men aged between 20 and 23 were arrested, but no charges were made.
