William Henry Davidson was found dead in a furnace flue.
It was said that it would have been impossible for him to have fallen in accidently.
All that was left of his remains were some calcined bones in the flue at the iron works although amongst the remains they found two metal sleeve-holders which were later identified as being similar to ones generally worn by him.
