Adeniyi Lateef Shode was stabbed in Rowdell Road, Northolt on 2 May 2011.
He had been stabbed in Rowdell Road at the junction with Ealing Road and Kensington Road.
He was found at about 9.10pm and taken to St Mary's Hospital but died about an hour later at 10.12pm.
It was thought that he had known his attacker and that he had been stabbed in relation to an earlier dispute.
Eight people were arrested earlier on in the investigation but no one was charged.
In May 2016 two more men were arrested for his murder and the last reports indicate that they had been released on bail due to report in June 2016, but nothing more is known.
Adeniyi Shode had been known as Aden and Enda.
