John Seaton died after being knocked over during a night out near Gainsborough.
He was knocked down by a car that then drove off leaving him to die in the road.
He had been walking home along the Walkerith Road to Walkerith, at about 2am after having been out to the White Hart pub and his body was found a while later at 4.15am by a passing motorist.
He died from severe head injuries.
