William John Tozer died from veronal poisoning.
He was found at his home in a comatose state and it was found that he had taken a very heavy dose of veronal, probably between 50-100 grains which would have been sufficient to cause death.
His sister said that she would not believe that he had taken his life wilfully, saying that he was not in any serious trouble of any kind.
Bishops Road is now called Bishops Bridge Road.
