Frank Victor Holliday was run over by a waggon.
He was taken to the Leeds Infirmary suffering from concussion and a fractured pelvis but later died.
He was a jobbing gardener and had lived on Woodsley Street in Leeds with his wife.
The driver of the cart said that he had been driving his cart along the road when he passed Frank Holliday and that about 200 yards farther on he heard a bump and that when he stopped to look he saw Frank Holliday lying on the ground.
An open verdict was returned at his inquest, it being stated that there was no evidence forthcoming as to how he got run over.
