Sarah Helen Hopkins vanished after going to Colyn Bay for her holidays.
She arrived on 28 June 1924 from Manchester and went out shopping within the first few hours and was never seen again.
She had been wearing a long grey coat, brown striped skirt, brown hat and veil and black shoes.
It was thought that the body found at Capel Curig might have been hers, but noted that that body had had a bag with it indicating that the person had been a tourist or somebody definitely prepared for a trip.
Sarah Hopkins was described as a quiet, reserved young woman, although it was acknowledged that she had been a little strange prior to her disappearance.
Sarah Hopkins had been employed as a manageress at Messrs Smallman, a restaurant in Piccadilly.
Her landlady at Old Trafford said:
It was noted that following her arrival at Colwyn Bay that Sarah Hopkins went out at about 7.30pm to do some shopping and was never seen again.
She was noted to have had considerable jewellery in her possession, and was known to have had a banking account.
